Aakhomein Samaa Jao, Is Dilmein Raha Karna- Lata Mangeshkar- Lyrics Jan Nisar Akhtar- Music C.Ramchandra.

Yasmin was a Film produced by A.R.Kardar.  Invariably Kardar's films were having music of Naushad, before 1951. In 1951, however this association first time ended. Kardar's film Naujawan 1951, had S.D.Burman' music. Naushad and C.Ramchandra were assisting composer Mirsahib on daily Rs.2 renumeration. Therefore when the offer of composing music for Yasmin in 1955, came from Kardar, C.Ramchandra was skeptic to accept it without Naushad's permission, which he asked for. Since Naushad had already parted with Kardar Films, he readily gave it to C.Ramchandra.

Yasmin's music was dominated by Lata Mangeshkar's voice. Except only one song ( a Talat solo- " Bechain Nazar, Betab Jigar"), all the songs had Lata's voice. Lata sung following seven solos

1. Aakhomein Samaa Jao, Is Dilmein Raha Karna.

2. Ab Wo Ratein Kahan, Ab Wo Baatein Kahaan.

3. Dil Unko Dhundhta Hai, Ham Unko Dhundhate Hai.

4. Has Has Ke Hasinon Se.

5. Muzpe Iljam Bewafai Hai.

6. Mohabbatmein Pahala Kadam Rakhanewali.

7. Yahi Duva Hai Tuzko.

All these songs were sung  by Lata in her tender voice and were raging hits with class and mass. C.R.'s music was the special attraction for this otherwise average film with average plot. Before doing films Tirandaz and Yasmin, C.Ramchandra had gone on tour to Middle East. He had studied Arabian music there. The music of Yasmin had therefore a distinct flavour of Arabian music.
