Ab Wo Raatein Kahaan....

 Ab Wo Ratein Kahaan, Ab Wo Baatein Kahaan- Lata Mangeshkar-Yasmin 1955- Lyrics Jan Nissar Akhtar- Music C.Ramchandra. 

 Yasmin was a A.R. Kardar directed film, released in 1955. The lead role were done by Suresh and Vyjayantimala (Title Role). The lyrics of the songs were penned by Jan Nissar Akhtar. Only one song " Bechain Karnewale Tu Bhi Na Chain Paye" was written by Tanvir Naqvi. Lata had air share of songs in the film. She had all the songs except " Bachain Nazar, Netab Jigar" ,which was sung by Talat Mahmood.The film had distinct flavour of Arabian music like film Teerandaz. 

 The film's story unfolds in medieval period in some obscure Middle east country. A spoiled son (Suresh), spending his time with harem women and getting quite free to them is reprimanded by his wealthy Shaikh father (played by Jayant). The Shaikh lives from the rents and revenues collected from his properties, sends his spoiled son to business errands, in order to reform the latter. The son Ahmed meets a Gipsy girl Yasmin (Vyjayantimala). Both fall in love eventually and continue to meet in nearby ruins clandestinely. Their romance is not looked upon kindly by Yasmin's father, a tribal chief. He sends his loyal tribal Zafar to ambush their meeting place. Defenseless Ahmed is beaten mercilessly by Zafar, tied to a tree and is left bleeding to death. Before leaving Zafar poisons Ahmed's mind about the treachery of Yasmin. Ahmed is convinced that Yasmin had seduced and lured him to ambush place. He begins to loathe her . Yasmin is brought back and coerced to marry Zafar, who had an eye on her. Offcourse she is not interested in him.A loyal tribal of Shaikh rescues Ahmed and brings to his home. Once while on terrace, Ahmed sees Yasmin dancing on street. Yasmin is happy to see him again, but his loathing towards her disappoints her. The betrayal hurts her dearly. The pains of separation and betrayal of love leaves her engulfed in miseries. She expresses her anguish in this song....
