Bachpan Ke Din Bhoola Na Dena- Lata Mangeshkar and Shamshad Begum- Deedar 1951- Lyricist Shakeel Badayuni- Music Naushad.

Deedar was the film depicting the story of unfulfilled love. Hero's childhood love is separated due to class inequalities. This is also the film which established Dilip Kumar as "King of Tragedies". Prior to this film Talat's and Mukesh's voice was prominently used as Dilip Kumar's voice. Not that Rafi had not given his voice to Dilip Kumar. He had sung for Dilip Kumar in films like "Shaheed" and "Nadiyake Paar", albeit only for one or two songs. From the film Deedar however, Rafi's voice became Dilip's voice as far as Naushad's music is concerned. From here on Rafi's voice became synonymous to Dilip Kumar's voice in Naushad's music. Rafi sang four solo songs for Dilip Kumar in this film...

2. Nasib Dar Pe Tere Aazmane Aaya Hoon.

3. Meri Kahani Bhoolanewale Tera Jahan Aabaad Rahe.

4. Bachpan Ke Din Bhoola Naa Dena.

The song " Bachpan Ke Din Bhoola Na Dena", was in two parts. In First part, Hero and Heroine, sing the song while enjoying the horse ride,in their childhood. Their childhood roles were played by Parikshit Sahani and Tabassoom. Naushad had made good use of horse hoof rhythm and mouth organ in the song. Lata's and Shamshad's voice was used for Tabassoom and Parikshit Sahani respectively.

The second part of this song starts after Hero and Heroine are separated in their childhood. Shamshad sings for Parikshit Sahani. This part depicts the melancholic mood of child Hero. Rafi's voice fades in after Shamshad's voice voice fades out, as Hero becomes young during the song. On screen , Parikshi Sahani Fades out and Dilip Kumar fades in , in his place. This second part of the song containing Rafi's voice ,never came on records of the film , however.
