Hemant Kumar's career started from film Saza , released in 1951, by the duet with Sandya Mukherjee " Aa Gupchup Gupchup Kya Kare". Same was the case for singer Talat Mahmood. Prior to Saza, Talat had gained recognition as Gazal singer. However this duet with Lata in film Saza, fetched him recognition and popularity. lata's ardent and tender voice and Talat's velvety smooth voice very well complement and blend each other. Lyricist Rajendra Krishna's deeply passionate words, depicting the miseries and agonies of separation, SDB's heart wrenching music and superb rendering of the song interspersed with captivating aalaps makes this song, one of the best duets by Lata and Talat. Like Hemantda, Talat's career also flourished from here.
