O Jaanewale Tune Aramnonki Duniya-Lata Mangeshkar-Film Patanga 1949-Rajendra Krishna-C.Ramchandra.

Before the arrival of Lata Mangeshkar, the music of C.Ramchandra  used to be bouncy, light and playful. He had himself sung many such light hearted, racy melodies with Shamshad Begum, whose strong voice was suitable for such songs. However after the arrival of Lata Mangeshkar in his music, considering her thin and tender voice, he started giving emotional, serious and affectionate melodies. Particularly if a song was depicting sad ,melancholic mood he preferred Lata to Shahshad.

In film Patanga, which was released in 1949, Lata had three solo, very emotional and soft melodies

1. Dil Se Bhoola Do Tum Hamein.

2. Thukrake Muze O Jaanewale.

3. Mohabbat Ki Khushi, ..Kabhi Khamosh Ho Jaana

All these songs, in Lata's voice, were timeless classic. It would not be exaggerating to say that Lata totally transformed the music of C.Ramchandra from light, bubbly to serious and classic one. Here in this song, Lata's tender voice effectively conveys the despair, the misery, pangs of broken heart and the pains of bleeding heart, due to betrayal of her beloved one. Beautiful lyrics, and music makes this song immortal and one of the classic ones Lata has rendered for C.Ramchandra. From this stage on, Lata became quite-essential fixture in C.Ramchandra's music. Under his baton, she had sung many immortal, unforgettable songs in coming days. This was only the beginning.
