Garjat Barsat Bheegat Aayi Lo- Lata Mangeshkar- Lyricist Indivar- Music Roshanlal Nagrath.

The musical gems by composer Roshan in film Malhaar 1951, like,      "Bade Armanonse Rakha Hai Balam Teri Qasam (Lata and Mukesh)","Kahan Ho Tum Zara Aawaj Do(Lata and Mukesh)"," Dil Tuze Diya Tha Rakhane Ko (Mukesh)" and Mohabbat Ki Kismat Bananese Pehle (Lata)" gained fame and popularity. There was another song in this film "Garjat Barsat Bhhegat Aayi Lo". This song, which was based on Rag Gaud Malhaar, features as a title song in the film. Other songs got fame and recognition, however this song comparatively did not. it's failure to get popularity was itched into Roshan's mind. Therefore he used it again in film "Barsat Ki Raat", released in 1960. The song in film "Barsat Ki raat" was sung by Kamal Barot and Suman Kalyanpur. This song got publicity and fame. The tune of Roshan is so beautiful that it captivates listeners in both songs. 

Lyricist Indivar was a free lance lyricist and his songs were sheer poetry, with no limitations. However after coming to Hindi films music, he was compelled to modify his lyrics according to meter and rhythm of the tune composed by the respective composer. For Indivar, whose talent for poetic songs knew no bounds ,these limitations found to be hampering and difficult to accommodate. He therefore quit the field of hindi film songs, even after his songs in Malhaar gained popularity. He reappeared in Hindi film songs as lyricist after fourteen year, when in 1964, he wrote songs for film "Dulha Dulhan". Composer Kalyanji Anandji was instrumental in bringing Indivar back to Hindi Film Songs.
