Bawre Nain ("Impassioned Eyes") 1950 was a  romance film directed by Kidar Nath Sharma. This extraordinary melodrama distinguished by Geeta Bali’s innovative acting was produced under the Ambitious Pictures banner at Shree Sound Studios. For the music, Sharma persisted with music director Roshan, in spite of several demands from film distributors to have him removed, (following his failure as a composer in an earlier film, Neki Aur Badi (1949)), and replaced by Husnalal Bhagatram duo, who were at the zenith of popularity by then. The Distributors were even ready to raise the price per territory by Rs.25000/-. Kedar Sharma however, has immense faith on Roshan's latent talents.He retained Roshan, despite all odds and against the business dynamics. 

The music of the film became popular and is considered to be one of the prime factors  for the film's success. One of the noteworthy song that popularized playback singer Mukesh was "Teri Duniya Mein Dil Lagta Nahin", composed in Raga Darbari Kaanada. Another hit song in this film was also of Mukesh but with Geeta Dutt " Khayalomein Kisi Ke Is Tarah Aaya Nahi Karte".The tonal quality and varying soothing quality of Mukesh's voice was put in use superbly by Roshan in song, " Teri Duniyase Dil Lagta Nahi".It effectively captured the mood of the song.

Bawre Nain is cited as Roshan's "first big hit" as a music composer. It also established Mukesh voice as Raj Kapoor's voice on screen and brought Mukesh to limelight. This was the beginning of his fruitful association with Raj Kapoor and his glorious career as an accomplished singer.

The film starred Raj Kapoor, Geeta Bali. Both Raj Kapoor and Geeta Bali were Kidar Sharma discoveries, with Raj Kapoor's first film being Sharma's" Neel Kamal" and Geeta Bali's "Suhaag Raat".

Here in this song, Chand (Raj Kapoor),  a miserable village boy, laments the loss of his love Tara (Geeta Bali).He is so disillusioned that he does not have wish to live without his love.He prays the God to take to Him and rescue from the anguish and torment of separation.
