Film Khel ,which was released in 1950, had the music of Sajjad Hussain. This was the forst film in which Lata sang under Sajjad Hussain's music direction. As far as my knowledge leads, this film was never released, but the two solo songs by Lata in this became all time classics. These songs were

1. Jate Ho To Jao Ham Bhi Yahan

2. Bhool Ja ae Dil Mohabbat Ka Fasana.

Sajjad was somewhat eccentric and hot headed. He composed music for only 17 movies. With the exception of Rustom Sohrab,Dost,Rukhsana and Hulchul all were flop movies. However these films are remebered for Sajjad Hussain's quality music even today.

Sajjad's songs were difficult to render and Lata often had to bear the brunt of Sajjad for any mistake commited by her during recording. However Lata endured his scolding, because it was challenge to sing his songs. The composition of this song is very superb and mind boggling. Sajjad has succeded in bringing forth the anguish of separation and resulting pathos.
