Film Meena Bazar realeased in 1950, had music of Husnalal Bhagatram duo. The pair made "Dupatta" popular in the film music. Apart from this song, in which "Dupatta " plays an important role in the love story, another song regarding "Dupatta " in this film was a duet of Rafi and Shamshad " Le Lo Le Lo Gi Maharaja Dupatta". Both songs were lilting, playful and having racy rhythm.The song "Le Lo Le Lo Gi Maharaja Dupatta", was in three parts. The songs had distinct Punjabi flavour.

Producer Dalsukh Pancholi was an eminent producer in Lahore and had his own empire of film production. After partition of India, he migrated to Mumbai and produced Meena bazar film, which was immensely popular and music of Husnalal Bhagatram played an important role in the success of the film. The song depicts the chhedchhad between the two love birds very superbly.
