Bandh Preeti Phooldor-Lata Mangeshkar-Film Malati Madhav-Lyricist Pt.Narendra Sharma-Music Sudhir Phadke

Though Sudhir Phadke is a renowned composer and singer in Marathi Film Industry, the first film for which he composed music was not Marathi but Hindi film "Rukmini Swayamvar 1946. He composed music with Snehal Bhatkar for this film. Later on he gave music to many Hindi films like Gokul ka Chor, Malati Madhav, Gajgouri, Sajni,Bhabhi Ki Chudiyan Pehli tareekh etc.

However, as he was more active in Marathi Film Industry, as a singer and composer, he could not contribute more to Hindi Films. Thus he was recognized more as a Marathi composer and this stamp of Marathi, was the cause of not getting credit for his beautifully composed tunes in Hindi.

For example take this song "Nadh Preeti Phooldor". This is one of the best composition of Sudhir Phadke.The rich sanskritized lyrics of Narendra Sharma , the honey dipped voice of Lata and Sudhir Phadke's heavenly tune makes this song one of the all time classics of Lata Mangeshkar.

The film had other wonderfully composed songs like "Koi Bana Aaj Apna", "Mai Youwan Ban Ki Kali", "Man Sounp Diya Anjaanemein" 

and a Lata- Sudhir Phadke Duet " Chhabi teri Madhur..., Manmein Angaarein Hai". However Bandh Preeti Phooldor stands apart, because of it's inherent richness of wordings, poignant rendering by Lata bringing out all the the emotions of ardent lover expressing her pure love towards her beloved. The treat to ears....
