Shukriya Ae Pyar Tera

Shukriya Ae Pyar Tera- Talat Mahamood- Film Aaram 1951- Lyricist Rajendra Krishna- Music Anil Biswas

The period when Aaram was released when films were having heroine oriented plots predominantly. This is why Lata had sung four songs in Tarana while Dilip had only one song. In Aaram however, even though there were three songs by male singers and Dev Anand was in lead role, he did not have a single song.
The three songs were

1.Ae jaane Jigar Dilmein by Mukesh
2.Shukriya Ae Pyar Tera by Talat
3.Ae Zindgi Yo Yo- Manmohan Krishna

Whereas first song by Mukesh was filmed on Premnath , who was in supportive role in this film, second and third songs sung by Talat and Manmohan Krishna were filmed on themselves.

Talat had established himself as a singer by the time of filming of Aaram. Therefore his guest role in the film was an added bonus for viewers. Here in this song he expresses the anguish in the heart of Premnath, when Madhubala rejects his dormant love towards her,  saying that she loves Dev Anand. Rajendra Krishna's lyrics carries a profound pain in the tormented mind. The words are like precious pearls. Talat's velvet voice put forth the pangs of rejection. And to speak for Anil Biswas it is heavely and hauntingly melodious ,as usual and knocks the heart to awaken everything that is sad but beautiful.....

Lyrics of the Song:

Another song in this film sung by Mukesh and filmed on Premnath "Ae Jaane Jigar,Dilmein Samaane Aa Jaa" also depicts effectively the storm of emotions within the distressed and grief stricken mind of a lover, expresses the desire for her love. He feels that his life is like a landscape devastated by a storm. He eagerly awaits her return and hopes that her sheer presence into his love life will change his distressed life into heaven, just how torrential downpour of rains quench the thirst of parched land...!! Beautiful lyrics. Anil Biswas heart wrenching tune and the "Dard" in Mukesh's voice makes this song stand apart. The intial violent notes on piano effectively bring forth the vivid kaleidoscope of wild emotions swaying his grief striken mind....

Lyrics of the Song:
