Chandse Poochho Sitaronse poochho- Lata Mangeshkar- Film Daku Ki ladki 1954- Lyrics S.H.Bihari- MD Hemant Kumar

Samrat, Nagin. Shart and Daku Ki Ladki, were the four films released in 1954, for which Hemant Kumar had given music. While Samrat, Shart and Daku Ki Ladki flopped on Box office, Nagin was a  super duper hit. Nagin's music became so hit, that even today it is remembered after four generations. Other movies were not so fortunate. They went into oblivion, however they also had quality music from Hemant Kumar.

Daku Ki ladki was telling the life of bandits. The lead pair was Arjun and Geeta Bali. They were supported by able cast like Shaikh Mukhtar, Mukri,cuckoo etc. The songs were penned by eminent lyricist S.H.Bihari, Kaifi Irfani and Indeevar, and music director was  Hemant Kumar.

S.H.Bihari had special affection towards Chand (Moon). . This Chand was visible in his three songs of film Shart, as well. " Na Ye Chand Hoga", "Dekho Wo Chand Chupake Karta Hai Kya Isharein" and "Chand Ghatane Laga". In film Daku Ki Ladki also it peeps in two songs..." Dilse Mila De Pyare" and Lata's sad version of the same " Chandse Poochho Sitaronse Poochho, Muze Tumse Pyar Hai".

Daku Ki Ladki was directed by Tara Harish. He produced a film " Do Mastane" in 1958, by combining the shots of his five earlier movies, Dada, Dara, Ustad Prdro, Daku Ki Ladki and Laltain. Some songs of  Daku Ki Ladki were taken in this movies without any change. However. this movie also flopped.

This song, "Chandse Poochho, Sitaronse Poochho" comes in two versions. One is Lata- Hemant Kumar Duet in happy mood, other is in Lata's voice in sad mood.
