Dekho Wo Chand Chhupake Karta Kya Isharein- Hemant Kumar & Lata mangeshkar- Film Shart 1954- Lyricist S.H.Bihari- Music Hemant Kumar

In the year of 1954, came the films Samrat, Nagin, Shart and Daku Ki Ladki, for which Hemanda had given music. Except Nagin, the remaining three films did well below average business on Box office. However, Hemant Kumar's music in those films was stupendous. He gave stellar performance in music department. In fact, what salvaged the films to some extent was the music of Hemantda. Shart had total twelve songs, all written by lyricist S.H.Bihari, who had special affection for Moon (Chand). In Shart, we can see this chand in songs ' Na Ye Chand Hoga', Dekho Wo Chand Chupake', ' and Chand Ghatane Laga'. In his next film 'Daku Ki Ladki', also, this chand was present in songs ' Chand Se Poochho, Sitaronse Puchho'.

Shart was blatantly copies from Alfred Hitchcock's " The Stranger on the Train" film. The film was therefore banned by Censor, but later on released with cuts so ample and severe that the final released film lacked continuity, the characters seemed unrealistic and the events improbable. In addition to this, the shoddy production values and the comedian touch given to villain's character by I.S.Johar ensured the failure of the film on Box office. The music of Hemantda is however is still remembered even after so many years.....

All these songs were popular. This song when it comes in the film creates a calm and serene ambiance in which two lovebirds profess their love feelings ....Hemant Kumar manly voice and Lata's honey voice are simply sweet and adorable. Hemant Kumar's music is awesome and heavenly.
