Dard Jaga Ke Thes Laga Ke

Dard Jaga Ke Thes Laga Ke Chale Gaye- Lata Mangeshkar-Film Sipahiya 1949- Lyricist Ram Murthy Chaturvedi- Music C.Ramchandra.

Besides the Lata Songs "Aye Aankh Ab Na Rona" and  "Hansi Hansi Na Rahi", this is yet another Lata's song, again in desolate and expressing tormenting mood of heart after the separation of beloved one. Completely immersed in the remoteness, she is unable to express her grief of separation. Tears are welling in her eyes, but unable to roll out. She had reposed faith on her beloved one and sacrificed everything she can for their love, and he has also given promises of love but all his promises turned false. He turned his back to their love cruely, and left her. By doing so, he has hurted her heart and caused anguish. What an expressive lyrics by Ram Murthy Chaturvedi!! Lata's voice and C. Ramchandra's music conveys the torture of mind due to betrayal of love.

Lyrics of the Song:

Dard jaga ke thes laga ke
Chale gaye wo chale gaye
Naino me sama ke man tadapa ke
Chale gaye wo chale gaye

Chhalke aansu to bah na sake
Phir honth khule kuchh kah na sake
Chhalke aansu to bah na sake
Wo dil me rahkar rah na sake
Wo rah na sake
Chale gaye wo chale gaye
Kya pyar isi ko kahte hain
Jo hame bhula ke chale gaye
Dard jaga ke thes laga ke

Hay tumne bhi tha ikrar kiya
Hamne tumpe etbaar kiya
Hamne tumpe etbaar kiya
Ek dil ki duniya waar diya
Dard jaga ke thes laga ke
Jhuthe wade se man mera baalam
Bahla ke jo chale gaye
Dard jaga ke thes laga ke
Chale gaye wo chale gaye
Chale gaye wo chale gaye
