Baharein Phir Bhi Aayegi- Lata Mangeshkar- Film Lahore 1949- Lyricist Rajendra Krishna- Music Shyamsundar

Some of the Lata's songs in film Barsat 1949, had style of Noor Jehan singing, however it was not noticed, as the music of Shankar Jaikishan was never under influence of Noor Jehan. However, the composer of film Lahore, was clearly impressed by Noor Jehan, therefore Lata's song under Shyamsundar's baton are heavily influenced by Noor Jehan singing style. The songs in Lahore were no exception.

2.Toote Hue Armaanonki.

3.Ek Aas Bandhaye Jati Hoon

All the songs were picturized on Nargis, who was heroine of the film and all were top chart bursters. The song "Baharein Phir Bhi Aayegi" , is considered and revered by the discerned listeners as timeless classic and mile stone song of Lata's singing career.

This song has a small tale behind it. Composer Shyamsundar although a genius composer, has bad mouth, especially under alcoholic influence. While recording this song, he had heated arguements with Lata, after which Lata left the recording studio furiously, and decided never to sing under Shyamsundar. Shyamsundar however adamant on Lata to sing the song, because he felt that only Lata can sing this song.It was actor Omprakash, who had also a role in this film, who persuaded Lata to return and complete the recording. To avoid the recurrence of such incident, he compelled Shyamsundar not to open his mouth during the recording.
