Ae Meri Zindgi Tuze Dhoondu Kahan-Lata Mangeshkar- Film Adl-e-jahangir 1955- Lyrics Qamar Jalalbadi- Music Husnala Bhagatram.

Adl-E-Kahangir , meaning Justics Of Jahangir, was the first film directed by G.P.Sippy. It was a historical drama and music was given by composer duo Husnalal Bhagatram. The plot of the film was about the sense of justice of Emperor Jahangir, who was known about his impartial justice to all people regardless of their social status. His justice was questioned when Empress Noor Jehan accidently shoots an arrow to washerman while hunting a tiger. The washerman dies and his wife Rami , who comes to palace and rings the bell for justice. Her demand for justice is " Life for Life". That means Emperor's most favourite wife has to sacrifice her life in order to protect the fame of Emperor's justice. Caught in dilemma of choosing his dear wife or justice, he presents himself for taking his wife in place of queen. All his Vazir, Darbaris however, unanimously request him not to do so, because there will be no Emperor. Seeing this the washer man's wife also realizes that her demand will deprive the Mughal Sultanat the able, honest and caring Emperor. She takes her complaint back and the film ends in good note. The same story was told in Sohrab Modi's Pukar, in which Chandramohan was Emperor and Noor Jehan's role was portrayed by Naseem Bano.
