Tu Kyon Muzko Pookarein......

Tu Kyu Mujhko Pookarein- Lata Mangeshkar- Film Mayur Pankh 1954- Lyricist Hasrat Jaipuri- Music Shankar Jaikishan.
Kishore Sahu the actor, was the writer , producer and Director of the film Mayur Pankh released in 1954. He himself was in lead role along with Sumitra Devi. Kishore Sahu played a role of Ranjit a tourist guide. He gets smitten by the charm and beauty of a English Novelist tourist Joan (Odette Fergussion), much to the chagrin of his wife Shanti (Sumitra Devi) and the fiancee of Joan, Griffith (Renigald Jackson). Joan is also attracted towards Ranjit. Their romance advances in the background of many Indian tourist places from forests, Deserts, mughal monuments dotted across the subcontinental India. In that sense the film also becomes a travelogue and a vehicle to depict their love story on the backdrop of impressive Indian historical and cultural tourist places. However at the end they realise the  futility of their love and come to knowledge that they must separate, if they do not want to destroy the lives of their dear ones. The film ends in that note.
The film's music had dominating share of Lata's voice.  As in film Aurat, she had all the songs in the film ( 6 solos and a duet with Asha). Her voice is given to six different characters of the film. There not a single song in male voice.
The above song is filmed on actress Sumitra Devi portraying the character of Ranjit's wife Shanti , whose world is shattered when she comes to know the romance blooming between Ranjit and Joan. She is devastated. Her married life is in turmoil. She expresses the agonies and pains of her bleeding heart by this song. ...
