Yaad Rakhana Chand Taron- Lata Mangeshkar / Mukesh- Film Anokha Pyar 1948-Zia Sahadi- Music Anil Biswas

This film released in 1948, had Actress Nalini Jaywant and Nargis as heroines. Nalini Jaywant herself used to sing her songs in the initial years of her acting career. However, with the advent of phenomenon Lata Mangeshkar, all the actress singers and their style of singing lost their relevance, and they faded rapidly from the scene. Noor Jehan and Khurshid migrated to Pakistan. Naseem stopped singing. Suraiyya's voice had limitations because of it's inherent muslim shade. On the other hand,  Lata was an emerging force and age was on her side. Most of all, she had classical base.

It is therefore no surprise, that a genius composer like Anil Biswas anticipated this emerging trend. He,  made Nalini Jaywant to sing onscreen in Lata's voice. Lata sang four songs in this movie.

1. Mere Phoolonse Khili Hai Jawani.
2.Ghadi Ghadi Puccho Na Ji, Kinse Meri Preet Hai.
3. Jeevan Sapna Toot Gaya.
4.Bhola Anari Mora Balma Na Jaane.

Voice of Meena Kapoor ,who later on got married with Anil Biswas, was heard first time in this film. The song "Yaad Rakhana Chand Taaron" was recorded in Lata/Mukesh voice as well as Meena Kapoor's voice. However, Meena Kapoor's version was heard in movie only.The records of this song had the name of Lata Mangeshkar.

Lata, in her tender voice, conveys the feelings of first love and how everything looks so wonderful and beautiful. Suddenly the life, which hitherto was dull and listless, becomes full of rainbow colors and playful. She asks the "Chand", who is trusted confidante of all lovers, and the numerous stars hanging in the sky, to witness the sudden transformation of her life, caused by the arrival of love.
