Verma Films produced three movies in the 50's with Premnath as hero and Shanker-Jaikishen as music directors for all three. The movies were Badal with Madhubala as heroin, Parbat with Nutan as heroin and Aurat with Beena Rai. The last one was copied from Holiwood's famous movie 'Samson and Delilah. SJ gave brilliant music to three but except Badal, the other two were total failures at Box Office. What remained from the debris is Shankar Jaikishan's brilliant and melodious music, which was totally dominated by Lata's voice.
The film's story is all about a rebel character Aadil (Premnath), who cares for poor and is always against injustice done to them. Once he saves the fiance of cruel Emperor (Ulhas) from a attacking lion, while hunting. The impressed Emperor awards the post of commander of his Military. Aadil leaves his village to attend duties and leaves in palace. The fiance of Emperor Juhi ( Bina Rai), gets swept off her feet by the masculine personality of Aadil. She tries to woe him, but Aadil is not interested. He spurns her. Enraged Juhi vows to avenge her insult. Emperor imposes heavy tax on villagers. Aadil opposes it. Emperor's army compels him to hide in mountain. From there he fights Emperor's army. Juhi then camps near his hideout and again repeatedly tries to win his heart. This time his heart melts. She drugs him and draws the secret of his strength, which is in his plaid of hairs. During night, she cuts his hair and runs back. The strength deserts Aadil. He is arrested, blinded ,humiliated and harassed by Emperor publicly. The helpless Aadil then demand from Almighty God his strength back. God also acquiesces. The powerful Aadil then bring down the whole palace, pulling the roof over everybody's head.
This song comes in the film, when Juhi camps near Aadil's hideout and tries to woe him. Aadil, who earlier spurns Juhi, falls prey to her charms.
