Patita, released in 1953, was a movie directed by Amiya Chakraborty. The film's heroine Usha Kiran was already in relationship with him. This was her second film against a legendary hero, first being Daag against Dilip Kumar. Her role in Daag  was in sequential. In Patita however, she got protagonist role. The story was about a destitute of stained past. The narrative was daring and tight. Her role was crucial. Due credit must be given to Usha Kiran to accept such a controversial role of a raped woman and also to Amiya Chakraborty to present such a story which was way ahead of times.

Patita's song were written by Shailendra and Hasrat Jaipuri. Except this song' Yaad Kiya Dilne Kahaan Ho Tum', all the songs were penned by Shailendra. Both were gifted lyricist. This song also has powerful lyrics. It brings forth the ardent love, affection between two newly married lovebirds. Their cooing, affectionate glances, gentle touches, emotive eyes and contented expressions portrays  the perfect picture of a perfect couple floating on seventh cloud. They live for each other, their lives are devoted to each other. Everything pales besides it. It is their own private world in which they want to remain forever. The profound lyrics, ardent rendering of song by Lata and Hemantda  and heavenly tune of Shankar Jaikishan makes this beautifully choreographed song an immortal one from the stable of Shankar Jaikishan. It starts calmly among the prelude  of violin and accordion and ends equally serenely, leaving an indelible stamp over viewer's mind. A beautiful portrait of a beautiful dream land of love, endearment , tenderness, fondness, warmth and above all caring for each other.
