Rhutu Aaye Rhutu Jaye Re - Manna Dey and Lata Mangeshkar- Film Hamdard 1953- Lyrics Prem Dhawan- Muisc Anil Biswas

Manna Deys name is synonymous with classical songs. Composers used to summon him when classical song was to be recorded. However his association with Ccassical songs started from this film Hamdard, produced by former wife of  composer Anil Biswas , Ashalata Biswas and  released in 1953. All the songs of Hamdard were based on classical Ragas. This song ' Rhitu Aaye Rhitu Jaaye Sakhi Ri' describes the various seasons . The song was based on Gaur Sarang, Gaud Malhar and Jogiya and Bahar Raag. Apart from this duet with Manna Dey , Lata had also one wonderfully composed solo song ' Udhar teri nazar Badli'.

All the songs of Hamdard became popular. However, the songs that stand apart are ' Rhutu Aaye Rhutu Jaye' and ' Udhar Teri Nazar Badli'. The second song has all the hallmarks of Anil Biswas.
