Aise Hai Sukh Swapna Hamare- Lata Mangeshkar- Film Ratnaghar 1955- Lyrics Pandit Narendra Sharma- Music Sudhir Phadke.
Ratnaghar , released in 1955, was a film directed by Yashwant Pethkar. The main cast was Shakuntala, Raja Paranjpe, Lalita Pawar and V.Madan Mohan. , All the songs were written by Pandit Narendra Sharma and music was given by Sudhir Phadke. Nothing is known about the plot of the film. However the music given by Sudhir Phadke is still revered by avid listeners of Hindi Film Music even today.
Sudhir Phadke, affectionately called Babuji was a renowned singer as well as Music Director in Marathi Films.His best-known work is Geet Ramayan, a magnum opus consisting of 56 songs, a re-telling of the Ramayana with lyrics written by Gajanan Digambar Madgulkar (Ga Di Ma) and composed and sung by Babuji himself. The series had a hugely successful run through 56 Sundays in 1955-1956 on All India Radio. Although he composed music for more than 100 Marathi films , worked for only Nineteen Hindi Films.
The music given by him to Hindi films like " Malti Madhav", Sajni, Ratnaghar, Gokul Ka Chor and Pahali Tarikh, was appreciated by the discerned listeners. He could not concentrate on his career in Bollywood because he was too busy in Marathi films both as composer and singer.
The music of Ratnaghar was totally dominated by Lata Mangeshkar's voice. She had following songs in the film:
1. Aise Hai Sukh Swapna Hamare.
2. Mai Ban Ki Bholi Gawaliniya
3. Pehle Na Jana Tha.
All these songs are so melodious and treat to ears. Pandit Narendra Sharma's sanskritized lyrics is a big change from Urdu dominated lyrics of other film songs of the era. The Pt,Narendra Sharma- Sudhir Phadke association produced so many musical gems that are still remembered even after 70 years. Both were indeed genius.

( The hopes, aspirations and dreams of prosperity and happiness, have very short life. The human being struggles throughout his life to achieve material gains. He is pulled into the cycle of hopes-dreams- struggle- despair . The cruel destiny always has the final say in his life. What a man proposes , the Gods dispose, and all the dreams and aspirations are finally washed away, like the sand castle built on Sea shore.
The human life is a tedious journey fraught with many events, either happy or sorrow filled. They affect a human life deeply, leaving burning scars behind. Every passing moment tries to tell that past cannot be regained.
The magical web of hopeful dreams the destiny weaves around the helpless human being is hypnotic. Like a mirage in desert or a reflection of moon on water. However you to try to get them , they are unattainable. All our dreams of happiness are just like that....unreachable.
The human being however is a toy in the hands of unconcerned destiny. He cannot forget and abstain from his dreams despite their brittleness.)
