Ham Tere Sitam Ka Kabhi Shikwa Na Karenge- Lata mangeshkar- Film Naqab 1955- Lyrics Prem Dhawan- Music Govindram.

Tasviristan's Naqab was released with much fanfare, but fizzled out on account of weak story, bad cinematography and unimaginative Direction. Shammi Kapoor and Madhubala were in lead roles, All the songs were penned by Prem Dhawan and music was imparted by Pt.Govindram. 

Intended to be a melodramatic Arabian nights drama, in the tradition of "The Thief of Baghdad", it lacks the appeal and glamour due to it's uncreative and immature direction, poor character development, logic defying incidents interspersed with song and dance numbers.

The story is about a Vazir of a kingdom (Ajeet), who madly loves the princess of the kingdom (Yashodhara Katju). In order to force her hand to marry with him, he conquers the kingdom, jails her, and repeatedly tortures her for submission. A prince of a neighboring kingdom, Kamran  is smitten by the beauty and charm of the princess and comes along with his sister Yasmin (Madhubala) to rescue the princess from the clutches of Vazir. 

The handsome captain of soldier, Anwar (Shammi Kapoor), falls in love of Yasmin. In the process he invites his master's (Vazir) irk. From this point onward, the film is the confounding mess of unending horse rides, ambushes, battles. All this is interspersed with dances and songs which appear at any point to ruin the narrative. 

No wonder the film flopped on Box office . The only silver lining is music of Pandit Govindram. Especially the above song ,Rafi Lata Duet "   Kab tak Uthaye Aur Ye Gham Intezar Ka" and Talat Solo " Tera Khayal Dilko Sataye To Ham kya Karein" are so melodious and heart wrenching. 

As it happened in many films released in fifties and sixties, the movies itself were forgotten but their music is still remembered even after four generation. This is one of such films.
