Man More Gaa Jhoomke- Asha Bhosle- Film Mangu 1954- Majrooh Sultanpuri- Music O.P.Nayyar

The association of O.P.Nayyar and Asha Bhosle started from film Cham Chama Cham, but in Mangu, O.P.Nayyar in his own unique style, brought out the potential of enchanting and intoxicating voice of Asha. Asha in O.P.Nayyar's music seems totally different from Asha in other composer's music. This was  beginning of their long association, which created many undulating and lilting songs having foot tapping rhythm, that keep generation after generation mesmerised.

All these songs had their own inherent foot tapping rhythm and gaiety, and Asha by her sonorous voice added beauty to these songs. Music director O.P.Nayyar's association with Asha is part of Bollywood lore. He was the composer who first gave Asha her own identity. Many people have speculated about a romantic relationship between the two. He was the composer who harnessed the potential of Asha's voice to the full extent. Nayyar first met Asha in 1952, at the music recording of Chham Chhama Chham. He first called her for a film called Mangu (1954), and gave her a big break in CID (1956). However, it was the success of Naya Daur (1957) that made the duo very popular. After 1959, she was emotionally and professionally involved with Nayyar. The team of O.P. Nayyar and Asha Bhosle is best remembered for their breezy and sometimes rhythmic songs.
