Sapne Hue Saanche....

Sapne Hue Saanche, Baje Muraliyaan-Lata Mangeshkar- Film Shree Chaitanya Mahaprabhu 1953-Lyrics Bharat Vyas-Music R.C.Boral

After successful launching of film Baiju Bawra in 1952, Director Vijay Bhatt undertook the project of producing a movie depicting the life and cult of Shree Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, who was 15th century medieval saint in Bengal, who propounded Vaishnavism of Bhakti Yoga, based on Bhagvad Gita. He is still revered in Bengal. The protagonist role of Shri.Chaitanya mahaprabhu was played by Bharat Bhushan. The songs of the film were written by eminent lyricist Bharat Vyas, famous for his richly sanskritized diction. The music was given by R.C.Boral, a prominent composer in 1030-40s. Supporting star cast included Asha Parekh (in small role), Ameeta, Durga Khote, Madan puri and Kanhaiyalal. Out of total fifteen songs, the songs by Lata Mangeshkar were noteworthy.  The songs of the film were sung by Talat, rafi, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Binota Chakraborty and Dhananjay Bhattacharya. Thus it was a multi-starer film in both acting and music department.
Lata sang four solos and one duet in the film. All these were soulful melodies rendered in her tender and sweet voice and soaked with the feelings of ardent devotion.
  1. Spane Hue Saanche
  2. Teri Preet Samazmein Na Aaye.
  3. Sar Pe Gagariyaan, Tirchhi Najariyaan
  4. kajrare naiya Chhup Chhup Ghaat Karein
  5. Wo Gokul Ka Gwala Tha (Duet with Dhananjay Bhattacharya)
Today,I have selected the song ' Sapne Hue Saanche, Aaj mere Sapne Hue Saanche', sung by Lata for it's sweetness, gaiety and  for depicting the feelings of love and the ecstasy it brings with it, the overwhelming joy of falling in love first time and for how the love changes the perception of surrounding world. Even the normal blossoming of nature, the chirping of Koyal, the dazzlingly blue sky, the cool breezes and the intoxicating aroma it brings with it, the sounds of payal......everything assumes a different meaning, when you are deeply immersed in love. It is a dream world of love and affection....A paradise from where no one wants to come back.
The lyrics of Bharat Vyas is enriched by many sanskrit words like Madhur, Preet, nainan, hriday, Sheetal and Pawan etc. It therefore immediately relates with the period of 15th century when the story of the film unfolds. R.C.Boral, who is revered as Pitamah of Hindi Film Songs and who was awarded prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke award, had harnessed the tenderness and sweetness of Lata's voice very effectively. The song therefore lingers in the mind for long time.
